Just Gotta Know "One last Question"

Re: Just Gotta Know "One last Question"

I wouldn't know, but I have some suggestions for finding out.

1. Look in E&W Treasure magazine, or Google for gold maps, and get one for
your area. If gold was taken there in the past, it should be recorded. You can also just enter
google keywords, such as "gold" and "Wauka Mountain Georgia", and see what comes up.
(Didn't see any)

2. Look over the land and see if it includes rocks made up of quartz, pyrite, or
other gold-related minerals.

3. Take your detector down into a creek or gully and hunt, see what shows up.
Try panning gravel in the creek too - this will give you a clue.

Re: Just Gotta Know "One last Question"

Dan, I live in Cleveland, Ga and have been into gold mining for awhile, I have the maps they are talking about. If you can give me some sort of cross roads close to you, I might be able to help. Also belong to Weekend Goldminers in Dahlonega and they have a property that contains gold on the edge of Hall county. Also do you have a creek on your property that can be tested. Thanks, Steve
