I love seeing people do well with this machine. You can always come on up to the east coast for a week. It is really nice knowing that any trip out you can pull something from the 18th century or even the 17th century. Just finished my fist year and I've found prob 16 or 18 1700s coins and several nice 18th century shoe buckles.I love living in Montana but you guys got me wanting to move east a seated u is a big deal here. At least i can enjoy you guys posting the old stuff.
Thanks for looking I'm happy with the finds, but I forgot to mention that although the targets werent at great dept one of the large cents were under a 4 " stone plus 2 to 3 inches under and then I was getting a deep signal , so I ended pulling a rock out that was on end which was 4" thick and 8 " wide the target turned out to be some rusty thin flat stock which wasn't that big, that did impressed me .I'm getting along with it good .its just some signals sound like your tuning in a am radio kind of don't no how els to explain it. I figured it was small iron or something.
T2se with the 5" coil i never take off. Been using it about 9months now. Had the F75se before i got the T2se. Live in sw ohio Tell you now run in Dic mode 77sen- dic set at 7- run 3 tone. Pick a silver dime between a donkeys butt.
Congrats dandut! I got mine a year ago and could not be happier with the results. I've found tons of colonial coins and relics this first year and I believe the T2 is one of the best machines out there. If you get bored I posted some of my favorite finds from this first year in best finds. I have to tell you that this was my first ever machine and it really took me about 3 months to feel like I was locked in with it and could handle and conditions including trashy sites. I recommend that you read the manual at least twice. And read it every six months or so just as a refresher. I also made up a test garden which has been a big help. Best of luck and don't ever hesitate to ask questions. Lots of knowledgeable people on here. Can't wait to see your finds, Abe
I've had my machine go crazy a few times. I finally figured out that it had something to do with my cel phone. I shut the power off and it stopped. So you may want to keep an eye on that. I can tell you right now that lowering your sens down to say 70 in all metal you are still getting very very respectable depth. The chattiness is a bit foreign to me because most of my sites are in the middle of nowhere.I have been using my T2SE for a couple of months now. A couple of things i have noticed and maybe you could answer. It seems sometimes the detector just starts sounding off in all metal for no reason. Sensitivity at 85-90. If I lower the sensitivity will this stop that from happening and how much depth do you lose when lowering sensitivity? I do feel pretty comfortable relic hunting with the T2SE in all metal in relatively clean sites. In discriminate mode at about 34 in 2+ tones it seems to get so chattery I worry about what i may be missing in areas with more trash like a park. And I also worry about losing depth in disc mode where some of the older coins might be deeper. Any advice on how to use sensitivity, discrimination or how to get the most out of the detector would be great. Thanks
