Hi everyone!

I'm just getting started and thanks to the information on this site, I hope I read it right, I've ordered an ACE 250 with all the little trinkets that go along with it. I lost my wedding band and I'm hoping to find it and gain a new hobby along the way. I've never done any MD before, but I love history and old stuff so it seems like a great fit!

Any advice?

Hey Alabamadan! I'm in Bama too! Wish you lots of luck finding your band! I have just started treasure hunting too! Isn't this a great place to learn about it!

By the way----WAR EAGLE! ;D

Hello, & Welcome to the forum...
Only advice I could give ya is about the wedding band. Get with Onion Head ( Onion Ring ) to see what kind of a signal to look for.
He really seems to have a knack for them rings... I'm sure if you like history, you will love this hobby. Learning about what you have found is one of the more enjoyable parts of it, I think...
Good luck & Happy hunting!

From everything I've read I think you made a good choice starting with the Ace! Good luck, and post pictures of your finds! HH

Welcome Alabamadan,Grats on the new MD.Best of luck on the wedding band.As Leon said if you love the history you are going to love the diggin.Look forward to your post.HH

I'm looking forward to hunting with my 4 and 6 year old children. While I might be discouraged if all I find are pennies and dimes, they will be estatic and that will make it all worth it.

AlabamaDan, welcome aboard, and best of luck with finding your wedding band! The best advice I could pass along, which others here passed along to me, is patience! DO NOT give up if you are only finding a few coins in the begining. The ACE250 is a great coinshooting machine. Practice is your own yard, in schoolyards and parks, or freshwater beaches where digging is fairly easy and coins are common. READ YOU MANUAL over and over, and then read it again. By the time you have read it enough times that you can recite it by heart, you'll already be finding lots of cool stuff. Again, welcome aboard, and happy hunting!!

Welcome AlabamaDan, Don't worry about finding Pennies and Dimes and Quarters. They take care of themselves and just keep adding up. Good way for the Kids to start the Real Piggy Bank and trust me it adds up. Little by little it really adds up. Remember all those things you thought about as a kid . Well be prepared to start reliving some of it. You really are in for a treat and just think, If it all goes right ( which it will) You may have just payed for those College tuitions and don't even know it yet.Looking forward to some of your finds and HH.

Welcome to the best Md'ing forum on the web. You chose the right place to come to ask about anything to do with detecting etc....I don't have an Ace 250 ( I'm an MXT man myself ) but you'll find lots of good advice about your machine here. It has quite a following on this forum. Good Luck and Happy Hunting. Oh....Post lots of pics!

Kiddin ;D

Welcome aboard. Let us know how your doing and what you find. If you run into trouble, theres alot of knowledgable people here that will be happy to assist any way they can.
Hope they don't overhear this. There heads are big enough now.
So you'll know, this is a forum for addicts. We have a 12 step program here.
Not for recovery, but to further the detecting addiction.
So we do the 12 steps program backwards.

Good luck and happy hunting

Man. According to the UPS site it's sitting on my doorstep waiting on me. I'm starting to feel sick... ;)

Sure enough it was waiting on me when I got home last night. I played with all the toys. As my wife said, I "got the whole geek package!" I think Kellco's Buddy Belt is what pushed her over the edge.

I got up this morning at daybreak and started in my backyard. I found the Comcast Cable wire and a nail. There's no telling who held that nail in thier hands!

Hey Dan, did you get headphones with yours??????? I hear thats a necessity. I bought my 250 through Kellyco's Ebay site and includes the whole"geek package" as well LOL ENJOY!!!!! Post your finds, were all waiting!!
