Hey guys, New to the site as a member but have been reading through the forums for a year or so. Me and the wife recently purchased a deeded 1900 home in the country and I figured there had to be some goodies out in the yard. Not pictured is a WWI military button 'New York button works'in the back and the eagle on the front, and a 1945 Washington. Not bad fir a few days out!

The bracelet is the most interesting, it says Roger E. Miller Thornville, Ohio on the front and on the back in script font it has the name Alma Lee. Can't find either of them in the local records. It is silver though!

Hi Buckeye, do you know how to do research with genealogical websites?

- Free Genealogy and Family History Online - The USGenWeb Project has links to state pages, which links to county pages, and sometimes town pages. County and town levels can have birth, death, marriage records online, even census records. Try searching for your names in Thornville, Ohio. Here's Ohio genweb: OHGenWeb Go find the county that Thornville is in and start searching for the guy's name first.

- Worldgenweb similar to usgenweb.

- http://www.ancestry.com/: Search user-uploaded family trees by names. You could have a husband and wife name. Limit search first to Thornville, Ohio, and if that doesn't work out, just limit it to Ohio.

- Rootsweb, now part of Ancestry.com. Should have free searching of many family trees uploaded by users. RootsWeb.com Home Page

Thanks for the helpful links bulrush! I've got some more researching to do but nothing so far that quite matches up.
