Found last week in NE NC at an early train stop. Marked “JG Brill & co. Phila”. Company was founded in philly in 1868 and engaged in making rail cars and other similar items. Lasted for ~90 yrs.
The tag has an obvious curl at the top, but not sure if that’s damage or as made. There’s no writing under the curl and there’s no hole at “12:00” like I would assume would be there if it was made flat. Any thoughts on where it might attach…..or to what (other than a rail car)?
