I found this broken ring awhile ago, and it appears to be lead . It looks like a class ring, yet I can read no words. I am wondering how old it is, and what style of ring it is. Any ideas would be great.

P.S. I cleaned the ring with vinegar before taking the picture, to try to find writing on it.

UPDATE. After a little cleaning I can see what looks to be small unreadable letters, on the metal around the gem.

I would agree it is a class ring hard to read any of the lettering though.
