I believe all of these Catholic pendants have an 1830 date on them (not 1880). It's not the year they were made, but some big even that happened that year. I apologize but I don't know what that event was. It's a start at least!

Yea it does say 1830 it's the miraculous medal pretty cool to dig it up right under an apple tree. Guess it's hard to date could be silver but no marks?? Not sure

I found a (very) similar piece on the beach last week. Mine is probably Zink with a silver plate -it's pitted but more so than yours. How heavy is yours?

In 1830, Mary came and visited a little girl in Lourdes, France and that is why all the medals have that date on them
