Hey everyone!

Recently stumbled across these two items in our storage unit. I know they are from my grandmother bought in Japan. They are ceramic, about 14/15" tall each. There are no markings on the bottom unfortunately, just trying to figure out if they are worth keeping. Thanks everyone!

Vwey well made and done. Quality work there. Have no idea what they are worth. Any markings around the bottom edge??

I believe these are mamasan and papasan figurines. I am a Japan brat (child of armed services personnel stationed in Japan.) We were there in the late 60's early 70's and i remember these being in a lot of quarters on base, they seamed to be one of the popular things to have. You might want to go to chofu.org (the high school website for the base we lived on) and contact some of the people there. They were older than i when in Japan and could probably give you more information on them. As far as value goes I have no idea but they are very cool.
