Jamaican Beach hunt.

After a week at Rose Hall , Jamaica I am still recuperating.
Way too many rum drinks and Red Stripe Beer.
I went out early a couple of mornings and hunted the beach.
There were already hotel employees there raking and grooming the sand.
They all were wearing expensive looking watches and I would guess that they do not miss much that is lost on the beach. They rake it every morning.
I only found a nickel, a quarter, three Jamaican coins, [two were $20 coins],
And a 10k earring.
The weather was perfect and we had a great time.

What a beautiful vacation spot!! I love the shot of the pool with your feet in the foreground.
Shame they rake the beach after you hauled your MD all the way there.
But $20 coins ain't bad at all! Never heard of such a thing. And those might be diamonds in the earring since the gold is real. Glad you got to MD some, it would have killed me to see all that beach at a resort and not be able to work it.
Next year when you go back (?) you need to MD just before sunset or just before dawn...before they rake it.

Red Stripe beer.....ahhh the memories....headaches.....and hangovers. I spent a week there once and I drank all the Red Stripe they had, then I almost drowned while snorkeling because I drank too much Red Stripe prior to the snorkeling adventure. Nice finds. No telling what is under the water just offshore.

ps - don't snorkel and drink!

Nice looking earring and Miss. Jamacia. I'll be trying my luck down in Mexico in a week and a half. It is funny how all those resorts look the same...I've seen that same path to the beach at every resort I've stayed at.

Sounds great Merf. I spent a week in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in November and it was amazing. Definitely lots of Red Stripe and Rum Drinks.

$20 Jamaican is worth about 35 cents American. Still a good looking coin.
