I bought this clock 3 weeks ago at a moving sale for $40. It was a real mess when I bought it. It wasn't running and it was full of varnished grease and grime. I think it was sitting in the kitchen next to the range. I brought it in to my watch/clock guy and he charged me $160 to clean/repair it. He said it was one of the filthiest pieces he's ever worked on, but it cleaned up beautifully. I think it's pretty rare and worth around $500, but I probably won't sell it. Also, i'm glad I rescued it and got it running again. IMG_0443.JPGIMG_0448.JPGIMG_0442.JPG

Gorgeous piece! Is it an advertising piece or meant for someone’s home or office

Nice save, that's a very good name.

JD, it's a desk clock

For $160 did he take the quartz movement apart for service or was it replaced? Seems a lot for a quartz service.

new movement was put in, he said old one was badly corroded

Nice find and restoration! :occasion14:

Cool find! Great job restoring it.

So the question is.... Are you gonna flip it to make yourself $300?
