I've spent the last 4 weeks hunting one of the smaller parks in San Francisco and have pulled out 12 silver coins. Today I got 4 more. Park maintenance workers are doing major work in the park. Cutting down trees, scrapping off the ivy, and removing bushes. I was leaving the park around 12 noon to take a lunch break and noticed an ivy infested slope that had about a 20 foot x 50 foot area scraped off by a dozer blade. Right off the bat i got some wheat pennies. Hit a 1951 rosie and a 1963 silver quarter. Got 2 silver nickels that were only 6 inches apart
(1942-S & 1945-S). The first one dug was my 100th after many years of detecting! Total wheat pennies for the day was 9. Clad was about $5.00.
