Those of you that know me, hello, it’s good to be digging again. 2018 was a year that I was consumed by work and family. I spent all spring doing house renovations and building a deck, and I was away for 4-1/2 months on a ship. I spent that time in Louisiana where I could have detected, but I worked 6-7 days a week @ 12+ hrs a day, and hadn’t the time nor energy to venture out into a 105+ degree heat index. A buddy down there invited me out but I just couldn’t muster the energy - sorry Will.
I arrived back last Thursday and finally got out. Sunday I hung out with fellow T-net Member Steve2, goes by the handle “TripleNipple555”. I found a roached King George copper and some buttons. Then yesterday I got out and scored a Connecticut Cooper and some more buttons, nails, buckle parts, etc. It’s so good to be back!
The copper was ID’d on a Facebook group I’m a member of (thx Chris). It’s a 1787 Miller 6.1-M “Laughing Head” variety. Relatively common but is actually my best example of a CT copper. I’ll try and post some of the other bits I dug once I clean them a bit.
Good hunts everyone,
Steve
