I'm assuming that the owner died. Why would you not keep up the rent on something like that?

You will never know because the storage place will never tell you, but I have seen where someone moved a long way and just forgot to keep up the credit card payments and it was too much of a hasle from California to return and deal with it.. and it got forgotten in the day to day shuffle..

Jay when they opened the bin for bids . How many locks were on it ?
