It's been a very good week.
I was able to get out to several cellar holes this week. Only an hour here and there between weeding the garden for spring, but it sure paid off. Found a nice type I 1917 standing liberty quarter, an 1869 shield nickel, a 1857 flying eagle cent, two Indian heads, 1906 and 1875, suspender clasp, some other type of gilded hanger or clasp, a really nice button with grapes and grape leaves, part of a pewter spoon, most of a crotal bell, a nice pewter bell with the clanger in tact, and a strange name plate. It says Mrs. A. G. Delano, Aged 20 years. At first I thought it was from a casket, but my wife suggested possibly from an old painting. It is bent in half and has been in a fire. Also a nice brass tag that says Patent on it. Thanks for looking...Lance
