I had a couple of good hunts this weekend. I started off by myself Saturday for a 2 1/2 hr hunt at an old baseball field I’ve had good luck with. I ended up with two Rosie’s, a 1920 S buff and 3 wheats. Sunday morning I met up with my buddy Diggin-N-Dumps and we hit the field again. I got a good signal about 5” deep under a root and found my first Franklin half. It’s a 1949D. My totals on Sunday were 10 wheats, (40’s & 50’s) 2 dateless buffs, 2 silver Rosie’s and the Franklin. I’ve had a lot of good finds in the past but the Franklin has eluded me! Was glad to knock it off the list. Thanks for looking!

Don't we wish all weekend hunts could be so kind? Silver, wheats and some Buffs... You got to like it. Big silver gets you a Big-O-Congrats Mister.

Congrats on your first Franklin Half. After 30 years of hunting, and over 30 Half Dollars, the Franklin is the one that still eludes me also. Im confident, that one day soon he will be looking up at me from his dirt bed.

nice digs , and that's 1 more Buff, than I have found in 20 years of detecting.

Great getting out yesterday!

I cant believe after beating that field down you still managed to find all these goodies...and a freaking Silver Half to boot! Thats a big chunk of silver just sitting around.

I guess I can post the 2 lonely wheats I found there :tongue3:

Benjamins are always the best :D :D

Very nice silver finds! :occasion14:
