It's a small world after all...........
Pictured below, are the front and backs of foreign coins that I have found in parks here in Nebraska over the last year and a half. It just amazes me that some of these pieces found their way all the way to the interior of this great country. They are described as follows:
4 Canadian pennys - 1972, 1974, 1984, and 1989
1 Cuban 5 Centavos - 1946
1 English 10 Pence - 1992
1 Mexico 20 Centavos - 1954
1 Philippine 5 Centavos - 1966
1 Spain 20 cent Euro - 1999
1 Switzerland 5 Rappan - 1981
The Canadian and Mexico pieces didn't really surprise me all that much, but the Switzerland piece really surprised me.
The world is definately getting smaller!
