Just to keep you updated, so far I haven't heard from anybody from Hedges. Not that it really matters to me, because the enjoyment came from finding it, building the little display, and returning it to them, even if they only got a chuckle out of it and tossed it in the trash.

I would have thought a Thank you & A Coupon for 10& off or offer of a Free Drink would be sent,
Simply out of Good Business Practice.

Could well be, Jeff. Their website and Facebook page show they are closed for the season, although I imagine someone checks the mail.
 

If they are closed for the season they may only have a groundskeeper who checks on the property periodically, and the mail may not be checked regularly. Unfortunately, it may take a little time to hear from them.
 

Remember, As per Facebook Judith is Retired. She may not Even know yet that it Came in

Today, I received a very nice letter in the mail. It is a little hard to read, but here is what it says:

Rob,

Sorry for the delay in writing you. Your "find" arrived shortly after our season closing and we have been out of town.

What a fantastic & thoughtful thing for you to do for a complete stranger. The care & kindness you have shown is very admirable. The thought & creativity making the wooden showcase is beautiful!

This would have been my father's -Barry Swift -

I spoke to my mother about the key & how it could have ended up there -- she has no idea ... my father has passed away.

BUT !!! The mystery will be a wonderful thing to contemplate.

You should feel good says alot about the kind of person you are Honorable mention in case you haven't got one for this That's really great I got a similar letter on a ring return on my profile it does feel good. Great post my friend. Tommy
