I took today off from work and met up with Shovelnose. He promised to take me to a site that he has pulled several silvers including a Barber Quarter last week and a silver Peace dollar earlier this year. We met up at his house and went to the site. Expecting to see an old farm house I see a brand new house. I'm thinking what? Apparently the original house was torn down and replaced with the new one. Well I finally did it. I got a 12 46 signal and thinking it was clad quarter pulled this beauty. An 1895-O Barber Quarter. My first Barber Quarter and my first pre-1900 silver. It has taken 5 years but I finally did it. Thank God I got this one off my back! Thanks John! Much appreciated.

That is *****in' ! Congrats! Great work.

I'm pretty certain it was a 64, but I must be wrong on the date. When I looked it up there was no silver. I thought for certain 64 was the magic number for dimes and quarters.

Very nice! I have dug hundreds of silver coins and only one was a barber quarter, Really cool.

I'm as close as one could be...1900 "s" barber dime....but so far away. Congrats

Awesome, congrats man! I broke that barrier few years ago, now got two 1832 penny, and a 1800's Mexican reale. Good luck on more!
