On Saturday and Monday afternoons, I returned to an old school (still in service) that has relinquished several good finds this year. Up until the last couple of days, I had found 4 silver rings, and an Indian head nickel, and over $20 in clad. The reason I kept going back, was the nickel. Found it a couple of weeks ago, so figured that there had to be silver coins there someplace. We have been having rain up the ying yang here for the past couple of weeks, so you go when you can get out.
The finds are getting fewer and fewer, but with the ground so wet, the readings are going deeper. On Saturday afternoon, just before I was getting ready to quit, I came up with a 1946 wheatie, and a 1956 Rosie. My second silver coin of the year. This really got my blood pumping, so back I went yesterday. Again, expecting to find more silver coins. No such luck! But, the day wasn't a complete loss. I did find a nice silver bracelet. It is solid, and wasn't bent in the least. Turned out to be a really nice day.
Hope all of you were able to get out and find some goodies too.
