I am new to the silver stacking community. My nephew is turning one year old this week, and with my fresh enthusiasm toward silver, I have decided to get him his first ounce coin. I wanted to get a 2013 silver eagle or a 1913 Morgan, but the dealer available to me was lacking those options. I settled on the choice of the 2014 Isle of Man angel ounce. Cool gift or pointless for a child?

Have pondered this many times myself with the recent birth of my nephew and have come to the conclusion to do neither. It would be at min a decade before the child even had a remote idea what it was and prob longer to care. I would say most people don't care about coins or silver bullion. (It takes a special group like us). Also Ideally in 10-15 years if silver hit its peak would be work less than a hundred dollars and has great potential to get lost if given to a child. It is a great thought but a equal investment in a 529 plan would prob yield greater value.
