Found near cavalry site. I got some other items can’t make out yet. I feel I’ve seen something like this mounted on front of the saddle area.

The "claw" end also reminds me of a rear sight on a rifle, but I've never seen one with ball/swivel mount like that. The curve wouldn't "work" for that thought, unless it had been bent.
