Have never seen any personally, but I know a guy on another forum who's family mines Jade.

Nice piece!! I'd say that's a right-nice Jade specimen.

EDIT: I THOUGHT I clicked the submit button! Geez - thought for a minute there I was losing my mind. ....Actually, I think I am! :laughing9:

I got this information from elle:

New Jade (Serpentine) makes an exceptional meditation stone. It helps you to find inner peace. Serpentine was carried in ancient Assyria to request the gods and goddesses to provide double blessings. Nursing women used it to regulate their milk supply. Serpentine can be placed directly on the skin. It is an aid to kidney and stomach complaints, relaxes cramps and menstrual pain and helps women who are unable to reach orgasm due to tension.

The picture shows a perfect match.

Impossible to say, a gemmologist would need to have a go at it in person.

Eu_citizen is right.

It does not seem to be chrysoprase. Nicest piece I have seen was at Herman Oliver Museum in John Day. Upper half of stone was chrysoprase, lower half was rotten quartz with gold nuggets in it.
