Thanks. I think a banner might be okay if i had actually done something other than glance downward.Wow. I am speechless.
Unbelievable find. Big congratulations to you.
If someone can tell me how to vote banner find, I am happy to do so.
Probably at least a $600 coin in that condition.
.1209 oz of gold
46,000 were sold back then
Fitting that it was the 150th anniversary of the US and next year is the 250th.
In the reject cup of a CoinStar type machine!Where’d you find it?
Thanks. Maybe 64-66? There are a couple of little pockmarks on her right hip. But hair, fingers, and gown seem pretty close to the 66. My plan is to see a couple of reputable dealers to see if it is worth having it graded.Great save !!

stunning coinIs this coin machine find really GOLD?! If so, based upon your critical eye for condition, what might it be worth?View attachment 2193367View attachment 2193368View attachment 2193369View attachment 2193370View attachment 2193371View attachment 2193372
Thanks for that info. I should have a better idea after hitting a couple of dealers today. From the 2024 Redbook. Your coin should grade easily. Getting an MS-66 grade might be difficult. An average business strike rarely grades that high. Being a gold commemorative might mean a better strike than a business coin. Good luck!View attachment 2193401
And I sure do not mind at all checking for them...What a find. It's amazing people walk off not checking the reject bin.
Actually that sounds about right.
Get the opinion of two or three other dealers….
And remember, dealers aren’t collectors.
Thanks for that input. If it's as uncommon as they appeared to think then I could understand someone wanting to complete a collection perhaps willing to spend a little more. In any case, I just found it lying there. Can't go wrong.Actually that sounds about right.
