Great pieces you have there.

Yep - those saddles were made for the animals, not the riders.

However, in an old manual that I have somewhere, it was thought that "male parts" might be made more comfortable for long rides while using this saddle. (they didn't much care about their arses) :laughing7:

The saddle is for sure post civil war and is a McClellend saddle and the things with the US rosette things are post war blinders.
