is this ankylosaur armour?

I found these while gem hunting just north of torrey, utah, in the buckhorn ranch member of the cedar mountain formation. These pieces were the top layer of what appeared to me at the time to be a giant flattened artichoke. After more research, I think they could be scutes from a partial skeleton of an ankylosaur. Any ideas?

Welcome aboard T Net. That's about all the help I can do, on account of I don't even know what an ankylosaur is.
The spell checker says it's spelled wrong. Does that help? Serious, no idea.

The critters were 30 feet long. I'm not sure your fragments would be armor plates from an adult. They have been found in Alberta, Wyoming and Montana . . . so you might not be too far off. They could well be - or from a juvinile or similar saurian.
