Is this an artifact?

Hey all,

Figured I would post this here as it is in debate on another forum. Figured wouldn't hurt to have your opinions.

Found this in Delta County, TX. Was found in the North Sulfur River close to the golodrina point, pendant and quartz crystal. Quartz is not know to be in that particular area.

Item is roughly 1.5" long.
