Nope, not bridle rosettes.

Yup... Nope.

Prolly a pin that was fastened to a leather strap. equipment, or the like... I dunno.

i wish i could find an id of the back.... think that will tell the story.. but all i can find is the fronts... heres some pics... the rosettes do kinda look solid but the other ones on the bridle look like mine.. wish there was a pic of the back... collar discs are mostly screw or pin backs... and look at the wear one the second one i found..somthing has wore it down pretty good...

Re: Is this a U.S. bridle rosette?

ok so not bit rosettes,,but blinder rosettes,,dont know if we can call them rosettes or not ... but wouldnt blinders be part of the bridle? from what ive found bit rosettes where screwed on,and bridle rosettes are lead filled with a loop... look at the pic from the back of the blinders ..3 little hooks like mine... mine where found where they did a lot of farming with horses,,so its possible the guy brought them back from the war and used them on his horses??? so i think im gonna call the ''U.S. bridle blinder rosettes'' but i did find some bout like them on leather wrist cuffs too so....

I found one of these just yesterday. Based on comparisons to some pictures online, it may be as old as civil war era. Picture0009.jpg
