Sorry but if this is a marble it is the ugliest one I've ever seen. Found it in the dump. Maybe I will throw it back in there. Is it a marble or something else and are these the "natural colors"? Could be an old clay shooter (marble). Older cheap marbles were made of clay.
 

Well that would explain why it looks like the surface of the moon!
 

large older clay marbles are some what collectible --If you do not want it please send it to me...
 

Clay marbles unless glazed have very little value even though they date back to the 1800's and earlier they are so common that they carry little value.

Glazed Bennington marbles are worth about $0.25 - $5.00.

P.S. I LOVE that jar you have the marbles in, what does that say?
