Today a purchased a whites XLT from an old guy who used it 2 times and couldnt figure it out.
i gave him 450.00 for it and it has a hard cary case with it. looks brand new
what do you think.

Nah...In all seriousness, this sounds like a great purchase. Those machines are a bit heavy for my taste, but they're great ones.

I'd say you did ok. The Whites machines are really good, and if you got the carrying case with it thats even better. Every so ofter, if you keep checking with local pawn shops you can get good deals. I came across one that was 45 minute drive from me: Whites MXT with extra coil for $270.00. I decided to go pick it up but called first. Turns out it was sweap up the day before when I called. I should have got there right away but hesitated. Still , I got an MXT for $300.00 from one of our locat park attendents. No extras however, but still a good deal. I can STILL sell it if I wanted on Ebay and come out with a $100 to $150.00 profit. But I'm keeping it. Whites are good machines.
