✅ SOLVED Is this a German Military Helmet ??

I am hoping someone can identify this helmet and give an approximate age. It looks old and looks German but the air holes are at the back and I could find no writing inside the helmet. Sorry if the pics are sideways but my camera does not adapt well to this site. Thanks in advance for any help.
