I dug this today, it was about 4-5 inches down. It looks like a duck but I can't figure out what it would have come off of. Any ideas?

fairangel said:Lol, I don't think it's a gator! I looked at several trivets today, some were similar but didn't have the pin on the back, so I'm still in the dark about it.
They only float for a short period so you need to jump in the water and retreive them before they sink. I was of course referring to a recently killed gator in deep water. I would imagine after they start bloating up and stink they would float back up again again lol but by then its way too late to eat them. So we are both correct. But how would I know this? Somebody must have told me.worldtalker said:Dead Gators float,I paddled one as a kid in the St.John River as a kid in Jax.They smell pretty funky!!!!!!!!!!bigcypresshunter said:Dead gators float too, for about a minute or less.themarkd said:Prolly not a duck, then.
