HEY!!!
i found this the other day at an 1850's house.
it's pretty heavy and was just a hunk of rust before i soaked it in apple cider vinegar.
the center of it seems to be lead. but it is rough and sparkerley.
i'm stumped and am hoping one of you experts or novices on here can help me figure out what the heck it is.
so thanks for looking and happy hunting.

As soon as I looked at the picture, my first thought was "I think that IS a Double Dohickey Falopadater", but on second thought, I would go with "creskol"...

I believe that "Double Dohickey Falopadater" is just another name for a "Lift Link." It just depends on whether the pump is going up or down. :headbang: [h=2][/h]

creskol and TomPA are on the mark. Tough to find a good pic of an old lift link though... This will give you an idea of how it works.
