Hey all posting this for my detecting buddy. He found this copper point recently in the woods on top of a bluff over looking Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. I think it's a Atlatl dart point. What do you all think? It sure seems ancient to me.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Going to mark this as solved. Happy for my friend. So glad he kept it. The possibility that these artifacts are all around me is a good feeling.

My buddy got in contact with someone at the Milwaukee Public Museum and it has been confirmed an Atlatl Dart Point that is 5000 to 6000 years old.

I actually feel your pain. I have yet to spot a stone artifact with my eyes and it's bugging me. I'd say your odds are still a bit better than ours.
