Is this a cob?

A good friend of mine gave this to me today, taken off the San Jose' wreck in the Keys. It is silver, and you can see the spanish cross on it.
Is this a cob?

Absolutely. And judging from the size it looks to be a 1 or 1/2 reale, but cant tell without some scale. Give us something to size it up to.
