Neat find! :icon_thumleft: Looks like it came off a watch fob from the 1904 Presidential campaign of Alton Brooks Parker and Henry Gassaway Davis.

2579: Pair of 1904 Presidential Campaign Watch-Fobs : Lot 2579

Matched Pair of 1904 Presidential Campaign Watch-Fobs

1904, Two campaign watch fobs, Theodore Roosevelt & Charles Warren Fairbanks, Plus Alton Brooks Parker & Henry Gassaway Davis, Choice Extremely Fine.
This lot consists of two 5" long, dangling fobs in four components suspended from a clip: one for the Democratic standard-bearers Alton Brooks Parker and Henry Gassaway Davis; and one for the Republican nominees Theodore Roosevelt and Charles Warren Fairbanks. The Parker example, with a worn gold tone, declares "Our Country for the Masses and Not for the Classes – High Tariff Breeds Trusts Do They Help You" and shows Thomas Jefferson at the top. The T.R. specimen, with a silvered finish, shows the GOP elephant at top and proclaims "Trade Follows the Flag – Protection, Prosperity and Panama." Both examples show some typical rubbing and wear. No doubt, exceedingly rare. (2 items.)

Yes, Lady Bramblefind's skills at Researching unidentified objects are (very-often) amazing. :) I think I've clicked the Like button more times on her posts than on anybody else's posts.
