I think this is a Bale Seal, but am not 100% sure. If it is a Bale Seal, can anyone help me Identify what company it belonged to and when it might have been used. It was recovered in the Southern Part of Perry County which is located in South Mississippi. It came from the same general location as the Anchor button I asked about in another thread and was found on the same day, but it was recovered by the person that was hunting with me.

Yes thats definitely a seal. I find lots of lead boxcar seals. Its really hard to say who may have used it. Youll have to do some research on the area it was found in.

I really don't know how you would ID them. I've found several but nothing with enough on them to assist in the identification.

It is a seal, but most times we never find out what they exactly went to or who made them.
