Does anyone here save aluminum foil? I'm talking about both regular home type tin foil from cooking, and the heavier type used for cooking pans and pie plates. Is it worth rinsing and adding to my cans, or should it be kept seperate? I'm new to the scrap / recycle thing, so I really appreciate all of your answers. Thanks in advance!

i work in a reesturant and have alot of the heavier aluminum foil kinda pans and my yard pulled it all out and said they couldnt take it your yard may be different..... i was bummed because we a tossing out probably 5 lbs a week of this stuff

My yard takes it, but I keep all other AL separate from the cans. Cans pay a different price.

I've been saving it with all my other scrap aluminum, apart from cans. I'll keep saving it until I have a lot, somebody will pay for it.

Treasurekidd,

by all means hold that aluminum foil.

I am sure that by 2012 a lot more folks
will be looking to wear hats made from it.

have a good un.......

I agree with Sherman; save all the Al / Tin foil you can get as hats made from it will be very popular, if not necessary, for the following reasons-
The depletion of the ozone layer:
Global warming and
as the Mars rover digs deeper into the martian surface who knows what will be released.
