Found this object metal detecting today in a spot I've found civil war buttons and bullets and other related relics. It kinda looks like a big breach plug or fuse. Looks to be made of iron and is 2 1/4" long, the top is 1 3/8" O.D. and about 3/4" I.D. The threaded part on the outside is 1 1/8" O.D. The inside threads are about 5/8" I.D. The square part on the bottom is 3/4" across and the round part inside that is 1/2" across. Might just be junk, but I don't throw anything away until I know for sure. Thanks for the help.
