Is it a coin???

I was hunting a field this weekend only a couple blocks away from the battle of Campbell station from the civil war. I found a coin like object and was wondering if it could have been something from that era. My buddy and I found bullets and hotchkiss shells, etc at the same place. I'm hoping this could be "something".

I don't know if it is a coin or not but, if I may, I would like to offer a suggestion. Get yourself a digital caliper. It is an invaluable tool when it comes to measuring your finds accurately, especially bullets. I bought my first one from Lowe's but it didn't last very long. Recently, I found another one at O'Reilly Auto Parts for about $20.00. Hopefully, some one here will be able to help Id your find.

From the best I can tell from your ruler measurement, it's close to the size of a large cent, which measures between 27mm and 29mm.

you need to find the weight should be 10.89 grams if large cent

Or maybe a little less (Cause) it's so worn.

I dug a Matron Head last Summer that had 3 small holes in it & was used for a button.
It was so worn the only way I was able to tell it was a LG cent was by looking at it from diff, sides/ angles & I could barely make out what was left of the out line of the head.
Hope you make an ID soon
