Is Diggers in trouble already?

They had to take them down for hunting illegal on the State prison property.
They ignore that fact thou.

They had permission from the Leesee & I'm willing to bet
the Prison had no Problem and wouldn't have,
till the Uproar in the archie Community.

At that point they needed to save face & Say it wasn't on their Go ahead.

it was not like they snuck on & hunted.

& all relics were donated to the Prison
according to my Understanding.

The two shows you ask about? Believe me, they are no friends of our hobby. Cities that have always been freindly to our hobby are now looking at banning us from enjoying ourselves. All they have really done is throw gas on an already hot fire.

Bigscoop,

With all the bad press/feedback from archaeologists, local leaders and detectorists it sounds like Nat.Geo. is pulling together a few well know people from all three communities to sit down in Washington and discuss/plan a set of best practices and how we can all work together. I think this could create a lot of goodwill on all sides. From the few people I saw that may be involved if they agree I'm very confident this will be a great thing for our hobby. I hope I'm right.

Where did you get this info from. Any more details on it?

something good may come from it. It may be just me and my Natural dislike and Fear of change,
But I Personally am not so sure anything good is going to come out of this.
at least not for us.

I Hope your right and I'm wrong.

Don't you fear having to register & "Buy" A Permit for each County or Region
you plan to hunt in ?, turn in all finds, or Pay an archeologist to Review your
planed hunt site before going and your finds after ?

This is My hobby, I don't plan on detecting and sticking pins in the ground
for someone else to enjoy the good part.
then it's just a Job.
