These rocks were exposed on an outcrop of iron formation I ran across the other day. I don't know what the green and purple stain is but thought they would make nice yard rocks. Any ideas?

Peacock pyrites most likely. Might be worth a pan to see if there is any gold associated with the area. As yard rocks they would be handsome additions to the garden
