Interesting rock formations in N.E. Tennessee...

During one of my excursions yesterday I located quite an interesting rock formation. It appears to be shale. I thought it was really interesting and has since become home to animals of the forest. -Luke

That's a good looking creek Luke. If it was me Id be looking on those gravel bars :thumbsup:. Also looking over my shoulder at the same time to see what type of animal was living there. I sure wouldn't want something to sneak up on me when my back was turned.

Looks almost like an archeology site like Petra for sure. Probably smaller than it looks in the pictures. Beautiful site!

Limestone or slates :) Places like that can seem almost magical~ or ominous depending on ones mood.

Looks like that creek has been higher in the rainy season by the erosion
