I picked this little 6-7/8" long, silver serving knife up at my local goodwill yesterday. It's old and beautifully engraved with the engraving highlighted with what I believe is colors of yellow and rose gold very thin light plating. There are a couple of what look like very small hallmark stamps, but they are very poorly stamped and what ever they can give is pretty obscured. Condition wise it appears there is a repair in the middle of the handle, as it may once have been broken and soldered back together, so someone thought it was worth saving at one time in its life. I'm thinking it's maybe from the late 19th to early 20th century?. Not positive of where it was made, other than a country that would use tiny little hallmarks like it has. I'm not even sure it's a solid piece of silver either. It's just the kind of old thing I like to find and collect that you might find in a thrift store. Especially at the price.

Nice find for a great price. I really like the engraving. I believe that is a fish serving knife.
Yeah I was gonna call it that, but it's rather small and curved, so I'm not sure what it's intentions are

Well it was certainly priced right.
The little bird and flower design reminds of my Grandfather's pocket watch case.
Sterling with gold highlights.
I'm liking this one very much.

It looks like a very ornate fish knife to me. Nice find!
