I was a Insulator collector and dealer for (9) years.
In the collection were one or more examples of insulators from (67) different countries.
This was more different countries in one collection then any other collection in the world.
Part of the collection is not shown in the photo's.
There was another collector in Sweden that had Insulators from (55) different countries at the time.
Met a lot of great people, learned a lot and had a lot of fun.
Sold the entire collection in 2010 and got very seriously into Metal Detecting.

Wow, being a retired Lineman, I am overly impressed! I like the Carnival glass(pyrex)ones, the Milk glass, Amber, Cobalt colored, some ceramic, especially the Candy cane looking ones. I recognize several of them. Thanks for sharing ...

The Electric Sapphire Blue - (center of the third row from the top)
were only used on a short section of line in Kansas in the late 1800's early 1900's.
They were so good looking that a lot of people would cut the lines and steal them as souvenirs.
The one in my collection was worth $250.00 to $300.00 because it had a few larger chips on the base.
In perfect condition I've seen them sell for $1500.00 to $1700.00.
The highest price I know of ever paid for one Insulator is $33,500.00.
It was the only example known to exist - a prototype that never went into production.
