Indians, Silver, Relics, & 1886 GAR Grand Army of The Republic Civil War Veteran Med.
Very nice detecting weather unlike the beginning of the week here in Baltimore. This three hour produced some nice variety of finds.

A total of 7 wheats, 1918 being the oldest. Two indians 1880 and 1905. The sole nickel is a V nickel dated 1899. Very nice piece of silver in the form of an old keyhole plate, no marks but tested positive for silver.

Definitely of one my best military items ever found is this nice 1886 GAR Grand Army of The Republic Civil War Veteran Medal, is the just the top part with the eagle and the crossed cannons, but its very nice and detailed.

Among the other relics found is a nice old bale seal, and old "E. Faber USA" Brass tube case, This company dealt with old fountain pens. Also found and old brass buckle with some writing, all i can make out is " Thomas" the rest if too far gone.

Also found my first beer relic other than bottle caps and pull tabs, its from a beer called " Ballantine " unsure what it is, its silver dollar size and it seems to have been enameled at some point, but underneath the enamel or glass is this very nice decorative pattern that gives it a very nice antique look, unsure of the age of this piece.

HH n GL to all.
