Metal Detecting
Got out to a Baltimore City park this morning only to find loud work of tree removal near where I was planning to detect.

I moved to a different spot and just gridded the gentle slope that I envisioned folks relaxing and enjoying the view of the once present fountain.

Eventually the finds came amidst a bevy of square nails. There were two Indians IMG_6935.webpIMG_6938.webp, 1892 and 1883.

I was listening for any two-way repeatable target regardless of VDI and came across a couple "12" targets (Equinox 600) that turned out to be shield nickels,
no dates on these and one is pretty "toasted" IMG_6934.webpIMG_6939.webp.

Dug a copper link ladies bracelet, probably plated back in the day IMG_6941.webp. One other low VDI mid-tone is this little part to what I can't imagine IMG_6940.webp.

Another nickel-sounding target turned out to be a bit of a mystery but was solved on Treasurenet today. It is a German jeton (mid-19th century) and I was able to find
an exact replica on the Numista website and have copied those images for comparison to mine as shown in this composite image.

Great weather to hunt and I've found a place to go back to.

Great finds...love them IHPs

Thanks goldboy! Still pullin' injuns here. Let's see what net hunt brings.

Thanks Jamie! I find I'm waiting on those mid-tones. Maybe I'll start finding gold like you. :)

Thanks BLK HOLE! I'm with you. If I dig an Indian I consider it a successful relic hunt, when it comes to park hunting.

Nice Hunt!!! Congrats!!!
