Got out to a Baltimore City park this morning only to find loud work of tree removal near where I was planning to detect.

I moved to a different spot and just gridded the gentle slope that I envisioned folks relaxing and enjoying the view of the once present fountain.

Eventually the finds came amidst a bevy of square nails. There were two Indians IMG_6935.webpIMG_6938.webp, 1892 and 1883.

I was listening for any two-way repeatable target regardless of VDI and came across a couple "12" targets (Equinox 600) that turned out to be shield nickels,
no dates on these and one is pretty "toasted" IMG_6934.webpIMG_6939.webp.

Dug a copper link ladies bracelet, probably plated back in the day IMG_6941.webp. One other low VDI mid-tone is this little part to what I can't imagine IMG_6940.webp.

Another nickel-sounding target turned out to be a bit of a mystery but was solved on Treasurenet today. It is a German jeton (mid-19th century) and I was able to find
an exact replica on the Numista website and have copied those images for comparison to mine as shown in this composite image.

Great weather to hunt and I've found a place to go back to.

Nice stuff. My Indians always look like the dog ate them, over and over again.

Thanks smokey! Yes, I've never found a presentable Indian from a farm field. Hunted for 3 hours in the morning and got some firewood while there, even took my chainsaw.

Nice park finds

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

Hills and slopes are where Ive found most of my rings and silver. Those are some amazing finds my Friend seems you've been doing really well this year. Keep it up!!!! Tommy

Nice finds! Congrats!

Thanks Tommy! Will do. The Equinox has been my weapon of choice for the last four months and I am learning the sounds.

Thanks HuntH2002! There was a time when I had given up on this park (different detector) but now its sort of opened back up for me.

Super nice day McD!!!!

Thanks Professor! Good luck to you and Happy hunting!

Nice finds! I of course luv the Indians!

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft: Nice IHP's!

Thanks WhyMe! Square nails outnumbered the keepers 4 to 1 but when you get a coin here it is usually deeper than 6 inches and is likely to be "old".

Thanks Mikebk03! It was a good morning of detecting with a reward popping up every now and then.

Thanks Dparon05! Yes, digging an IHC on this site that has been "hammered" over the years is great. You really don't see many people detecting this site anymore.

Thanks lairmo! It was a good hunt. Looking forward to hitting a new area soon.

Thanks Indiana Mark! With the two cents and two nickels as was hoping for the next denomination up the scale, but it was not to be. Maybe next time.
