Indians hiding in the snow.

Got out into the button field and two inches of fresh snow. Found a great advantage to snow in large fields. You can really make tight patterns and see exactly where you have been. Found two indian heads. The first is an 1867 and the other I can't tell. Also found a great little belt axe or hatchet, small shot and a couple of buttons. Going to try another field tomorrow a few towns over. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks for looking. .Lance

Thanks Mike. It is quite small, so I am assuming a hatchet or belt axe, (4 inches by 2 inches). It is hand forged. My guess is between 1800 and 1825, but I guess it could be a bit earlier. Lance
