Indian war three ringer bullet recovered in Washington State! Broke the 1800's!
Hey guys! Well JuJu and I decided to hit a field near a fort that was open to detectorists. Last time JuJu and I had hunted around the field because the grass was too high. This time the grass was cut and we were able to hunt it. We passed by another metal detectorist who gave us of a location behind a very old barn where the Union troops had once used the field as a firing range during the Indian wars. I was very pleased with the results at the end of the hunt! I got my first ever three ringer around 2-3 inches deep if I remember correctly. Since the grass was already cut, the targets were not too far down. The ground had so much iron in it though, you had to go super slow to pick out the better targets!
JuJu had also had an awesome day as well! The three ringer that I found was in really nice shape for being fired. The detectorist before us had pulled 15 to 20 bullets alone that day before JuJu and I hit it. I'm glad he missed some because we were each able to recover some. When walking around the field however, JuJu and I saw the dude's plugs everywhere and it was a mess. What he would do was put the plug back in the ground and then put the left over dirt on top of the plug. JuJu and I got very mad at this because that is not a way to put back your plugs. Hope everyone got out to enjoy the nice sunny day! Happy hunting!
