I don't see where it has been altered by man. I'd say it's a rock?

We need more pictures that are in focus and a picture to see the flat area on large end. Nothing in pictures posted says artifact in pictures but pictures are poor and most are out of focus.

We always need good clear pictures of all sides of a rock to see if it is indeed an artifact, poor pictures makes it almost impossible.

I noticed this was your very first post Bbmbr - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

I added a few pics of the bottom. It does have slick shine to it. Sorry about the pics and I am using an iPhone should be better

Welcome to Treasurenet, which is the best place online to ID your finds. I thinks its just a natural river rock, but what state are you in? The best way to be able to tell what is NA out there or not would be by checking out your local museum and looking online to see what others have found. Then look for it yourself, but make sure you follow the law. Its important, not just because its illegal, but to preserve history.
